Don't disagree. If I win the OP competition can I put my points into both the print and the slide tables, cus I normally enter both print and slides.

Regards,

Rob.

Can I comment by stating the obvious! Digital images can easily be made into prints or slides. Slides can easily be made into digital images or prints. Prints can easily be made into digital images or slides. Why then are we arguing about where the points should go? It is obvious to me that there should be just one league table of points.

While I have my fingers on the keyboard - and this thread started by asking about rule changes - one rule I have never understood is why you have to "qualify" to be able to enter a major competition. Surely, being a fully paid-up member should be enough to enter any competition.

Brian,

Good points (forgive the pun!!)

My view is why have the "Majors". I would like to see just two - Landscape and Natural History. The rest are a bit of a nonsense.

We can give the spare space over to more "projected" and themed competitions.

Regards,

Rob.

In my ignorance is it necessary for images be provided as full size tiffs or do they need to be reduced, and 4 images to a CD is a bit of a waste could we discuss alternative ways of entering pics

Chris, you can submit your images on a Rewriteable cd then have it back and use it again.

You need to resize them and save as a jpeg.

I can email you instructions on how to resize if you wish.

If anyone is entering both slides and print comp's then you simply nominate where you want the points to go before the comp ...if you get any.

Why do I get the feeling I'm

Mick,

I think as a committee, we agree this needs sorting out along with the competitions generally.

We will be discussing competition structure at the next committee meeting with the intention of coming back to the members with some options after Christmas.

Take a chill pill......

Regards,

Rob.

Only need half a pill now as you can use whatever images you enter in other comp's this year..........as a print or slide.

I know that but does anyone else????????????

Mick,

I'm not sure that is official!!

I agree with you that if the OP competiiton does not score, then the "no 2 images in the same year" should not apply. I don't think this view has offical sanction though????

Time to bash your head again!!!!!!!!!!

Regards,

Rob.
