Utah and Arizona

Forget the Grand Canyon. If you are headed to these States with your camera, head for Bryce Canyon and Antelope Canyon (near to Lake Powell and Page). I took some really inspirational shots at these two places. I used my tripod most of the time for maximum depth of field, but in Antelope Canyon a tripod is a must as most of my exposures were 20 seconds or more. The colours are stunning. If I knew how to insert images I'd let you have a taster..... Brian[/img]

Hi Brian,

They sound great and I for one would love to see them.

To insert an image you need to have you pictures on a host site like flickr once there you are given the picture address, all you do then is click on the img button then paste in the code straight after the img no spaces then click on the img button again, do a quick preview and there you go one inserted image.

Hope this helps and makes sense,

Mike

I'll give it a go.......

HELP!!!! I'm obviously doing something wrong. I have subscribed to flickr as you suggested and uploaded 4 photos. I couldn't see a picture address for any of them, so pasted the complete URL for one of the pictures. I clicked on preview but this has not turned into a picture, just words.

I think I see whats wrong, did you copy and past the address?

What you should do is click on the picture you want to upload then above it there are a few options one says all sizes (click that) then click on the size you want and when that opens below the picture are 2 link boxes, it's the bottom one you want think it says something like Grab the photo's URL. Copy and past that between the image tags and that should sort it.

Thanks Mike, I'll try again.......

......Wow! it worked. The first two are of Bryce Canyon and the last two of Antelope Canyon. These places were inspirational for photography. Thanks for your help and the recommendation to use flickr. From the little I've seen of this site, there seems to be some good stuff there. I'll take a closer look soon.

Nice work Brian,

Love the shots of Antelope Canyon, looks like a fantastic place for photography with all the shapes and textures.
